Bringing the scents of the Grand Tetons into your home!

In the year 2024, Teton Candle Company was born when a land surveyor named Ryan Nubel was out working in the forest.
While climbing over freshly cut fir trees, his coworker picked up a branch, took a deep sniff, and said, “Man, I wish I could put this smell in a container and take it home.” That moment sparked the idea that became Teton Candle Company.

Jackson Hole is one of the most unique places in America — a high mountain valley surrounded by towering peaks, wild forests, and wide-open skies. It sits in northwestern Wyoming, right next to Grand Teton National Park, and just south of Yellowstone National Park.

I’ve spent a combined nine years living and working in Jackson Hole, hiking and exploring the trails and forests that inspired this brand. When I moved away for a few years to the Southeast, I realized how much I missed the mountain air, the smell of sagebrush after rain, and the scent of the fresh fir trees.

I wanted to capture those memories in a way that could be shared with others. So I started Teton Candle Company, focusing on clean-burning candles that reflect the natural beauty of the Tetons.

Every candle is hand-poured using high-quality, natural wax blends designed for a clean burn and long-lasting fragrance.

Coconut Apricot Wax

This eco-friendly blend burns clean and evenly, producing minimal soot and a strong fragrance throw. It’s ideal for anyone who wants a high-quality candle that’s gentle on the air in their home.

Beeswax

We add a touch of beeswax to either our coconut apricot wax or soy wax blends to create a longer burn and a more heat-tolerant candle. Beeswax is one of the most natural candle materials available — it burns clean, produces very little smoke, and has a naturally bright flame while improving overall performance.

Soy Wax

Soy wax is renewable, biodegradable, and known for its clean-burning properties. It produces minimal soot and holds fragrance well, making it perfect for a consistent, long-lasting scent experience.

We also use 100% cotton wicks that are lead and zinc free, and our fragrances are non-toxic and phthalate-free. Everything used in our candles is proudly made in the USA.
